Winter dining specials in Newport

Tables with a view so close to the ocean that you can almost feel the spray of the waves, live music to make a night out special, mouth-watering cuisine and tasty wines, all for under $20? Don’t believe it is possible? Well, think again because some of the most popular restaurants of Newport are offering winter dining specials so good that you can enjoy a nice night out and still have money left to do it again.
When only hearty Italian will fill a winter craving, Newport has several tasty options. Head to Sardella’s Italian Restaurant on Memorial Boulevard and treat a friend to the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Dinner for Two special. Featuring a choice of entrees ranging from Pasta Primavera to Chicken Parmagiana and complimented by a nice bottle of wine, the entire meal for two is just $19.99. Live jazz on Wednesday nights will make the evening out even more fun. Or if you are strictly a pasta lover when it comes to Italian, try Puerini’s, also on Memorial Boulevard. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the modern Italian spot offers a selection of pasta specials with garlic bread for just $9.95.
At Johnny’s Atlantic Beach Club, located on Purgatory Road in Middletown, the candlelit dining room facing the ocean and the Greek-infused menu of tender steaks, unique pastas, and fresh seafood dinners is truly dining in Newport style. Enjoy both the view and the menu on Wednesday night when Menu Madness brings the prices for every entrée excluding lobster and the porterhouse steak down to just $10.95.
If your taste buds crave Mediterranean, Pronto’s on Thames Street offers their entire tasty menu for at 50% on Mondays-Thursdays before 6 p.m.
Just over the bridge, the savings continue at Jamestown’s Trattoria Simpatico. In celebration of 10 years in business and also to celebrate the launch of Executive Chef Kevin Gaudreau's cooking show, "Coastal Cuisine," the restaurant is offering every entree on the dinner menu for $14.95 on Tuesdays through March. After you’ve enjoyed the chef’s secrets, tune into the show on Cox Channel 3 at 7:30 PM on Thursday nights learn how to do it yourself.
For a real local’s deal, pick up a copy of the local newspapers, Newport This Week and The Newport Daily News, where many local restaurants often run advertisements with coupons for special savings! Many Newport restaurants are also featured in the Entertainment coupon book, which can save you 50% on your entrees, winter, spring, summer, or fall.
