RI Home/Family Much of the education is based in sensory learning and materials have been designed to help the children incorporate their five senses into their learning opportunities. Practical life is also very popular with the children. They have been spotted squeezing oranges for juice, sewing buttons, and even eating noodles with chopsticks! The imPOSSIBLE DREAM, a charitable organization granting wishes, or dreams, to children in Rhode Island with long-term or life- threatening illness or disabilities, opens their accessible playground to the community every summer. Director Diane Penza is happy that the playground can be used year-round by the school. The Warwick Montessori Children’s Castle has been set up as a charitable organization [501 (3) ©], so that they may seek out grants and donations for the school. The director of the school program, Pamela Dennen, is firmly committed to opening the Castle doors to all children in the community who would benefit from a high quality preschool experience, and works diligently towards keeping tuition affordable. The program runs Monday through Friday, form 8:45 to 1:45 on the academic calendar. An open house has been scheduled for Saturday, November 5, 2004 from 11am to 2pm. The public is invited to attend.
