Pawtucket Restaurant Celebrates Five Years In Business

Hose Company No. 6 Owner Says Thank You To Patrons

HoseCompany No. 6 celebrated five years in businessNovember, 2004.

Restaurateur Paul Gaudette

opened the restaurant in November 1999 and wishes to

thank his patrons for making the restaurant a success.

Formerly the Peppermill Restaurant, which

closed its doors in 1997, Hose Comapny No. 6 is

located at 636 Central Avenue and is a Pawtucket

landmark.  Orginally built as a firehouse in

1895, this year also marks the 110th anniversary of

the structure itself.  Original photos of the era

depicting firemen's horses, fire apparatus and the

firehouse adorn the walls in the atrium dining room.

Gaudette, who also serves as Chef says, "I simply

want to say thank you to the patrons that have

welcomed me in here, and I look forward to many more

years in the Pawtucket."  Gaudette, who recently

provided bartending service for the Mayor's

inauguration this month, says, "The City of Pawtucket

was extremely helpful when I decided to purchase the

restaurant in 1999."

The historic building has a unique appeal

particularly int he upstairs banquet room, which for

over a year has played host to EM>The King's

Feast/EM> on Saturday evening.  With its

brick walls and high wooden beams, the restaurant

truly reflects a neighborhood feel, while the atrium

has an open appeal and sets the mood for friendly

chatter while patrons enjoy the delicious food served.

The menu varies from pub style appetizers such

as nachos and buffalo wings to full course meals for

the more sophisticated palate and boasts of the best

calamari.  Also not to be beat are the Seafood

Fruite Del Mare and Italian dishes. The chefs at the

Hose Compapny love to present daily specials to show

off their creative ability, and Gaudette states, "The

prime rib is one of their specialties."

As the menu simply states, "We invite you to

bring your friends and family to kick back and enjoy

your favorite bottle of wine, a bucket of steamers or

any of our delicious entrees." So why not visit Hose

Company No. 6 for delightful neighborhood dining.
