RI Education Approximately 30 individuals are selected nationally. The Knauss Fellowship provides a stipend and living expense allowance totaling $40,000. The one-year fellowship begins February 1, 2006. Each year, Rhode Island Sea Grant nominates up to five students to the National Sea Grant College Program for Knauss Fellowships. Nominees must be studying for a master's, doctoral, or professional degree in a marine-related field. Fellowship applications are due at Rhode Island Sea Grant on Tuesday, February 15, 2005.
