Local Adult Auditions For Union And Non Union Actors On Feb. 5th And 6th
Auditions for You Never Know will be held locally on Saturday, February 5 (members of Actors Equity Association only) and Sunday, February 6 (open to Equity and non-Equity actors). An audition appointment is required. These auditions will take place at Trinity Repertory Company, 201 Washington St., Providence, RI. Trinity is seeking adult actors and actresses of all ethnicities and ages. Singing ability is very important and actor-singer-dancers will be given preference. We are looking for both Equity and non-Equity actors. For Equity actors, this will be a LORT B contract. Actors should prepare sixteen bars of a musical theatre song, preferably a song from the classic American musical theatre genre, and should bring a copy of their sheet music to the audition; an accompanist will be provided. Actors must also provide a headshot/resume and should be prepared to read from sides provided at the audition. You Never Know is a world premiere musical from the Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer of Bye Bye Birdie, Annie, and Applause. Director Amanda Dehnert, acting artistic director at Trinity Rep, will be joined by the creative team of choreographer Christopher D’Amboise, musical director Charles Alterman, and set designer David Jenkins. The first rehearsal is March 8th and the show runs April 15th to May 22nd. Trinity Rep’s season continues with The Molière Impromptu, The Buz’Gem Blues, and two productions from the Next Generation, upcoming graduates of the Brown/Trinity Rep Consortium’s MFA program, Molière’s The Imaginary Invalid and Chekhov’s The Seagull.
