The National Weather Service Reports: There are no active watches, warnings or advisories in Rhode Island
Rhode Island's climate is one of exceptions. It's four-season, but milder than the rest of New England. Summers get hot enough to go swimming, but many Rhode Islanders believe that air conditioning is a waste. Winters will freeze the ponds, but seldom go below the teens. There will usually be a half-dozen snowfalls of 6-8", but Rhode Islanders still talk about The Blizzard Of '78. In general, NW Rhode Island has the coldest winters and hottest summers, with more coastal portions of the state being more moderate. Readers Comments About This Page: Be the first! Add Your Comment!
