Gas Prices Drop Four Cents
AAA’s August 23 survey of gas prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.70 per gallon, down four cents from last week. The current price is equal to the national average for regular unleaded of $2.70. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $2.68 The range in prices in the latest local survey for unleaded regular is 33 cents, from a low of $2.569 to a high of $2.899. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices for gas in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every time. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
