Contemporary Thater’s Winter Schedule
Nine Productions Planned through March 2013
The Contemporary Theater Company announced a series of new projects by local artists in its Springboard Season from January to March 2013. There is something for everyone in this season that promotes The Contemporary Theater Company’s goal of facilitating new, exciting work by local artists and bringing the arts to the community.
On Jan. 18 and 19, the Epic Theatre Company’s production of Passion Play travels to The Contemporary Theater to kick off Springboard. The season will include everything from a series of monologues to children’s concerts to a night of presentations in the style of TED Talks. For fans of The CTC’s Annual 24-Hour Play Festival, the season features three weekends of a collection of short plays by festival favorite, Davidb Marchetti. To showcase and develop new work, there are staged readings of plays by Ron Maine, Eliza Collins, and Spencer Curry. 2000 Nickels, a new drama about reconciliation after the Vietnam War, is featured for two weekends of staged readings.
