Warren was once the home of King Philip and the Wapanaug Indians. In 1746, the territory became part of Rhode Island and quickly became an important center of commerce. Today it's a quiet corner of the state, where the residents find traveling to Fall River in Massacheusetts more convienent than traveling to Providence.
The entire population of this East Bay township is just 11,000. When you visit Warren, consider dinner at Country Inn and check out the schedule at Second Story Theater.
