Interstate Highway 195

Connecting Providence, RI with Cape Cod

I-195, Interstate 195, in Providence RI

I-195 begins at I-95 in Providence, just south of downtown (locals call it "downcity"). It travels east, out of state to Cape Cod, by way of Fall River. Within the state, it crosses the northern tip of Narragansett Bay on the Washington Bridge.

Entering I-195 from the south is a right split. From the north is a left split. Exiting I-195 to I-95 is a fork, the center lane of which splits. In all cases, keep right or left accordingly.

Major construction is being performed on I-195 in Providence, so some exits on your maps may not be available. Those exits that are open may not be locally set out, so plan a few extra minutes if you're not familair with the road.

Within Providence, look north for the Fleet building. The "jewlery district" lies to the south. [an error occurred while processing this directive] [an error occurred while processing this directive]
